Social media is not about yelling

Posted by Shaun Nestor on 22 Mar 2010 / 0 Comment

Social media is not a platform to scream your message to potential buyers. You not only ruin the social experience, but you ruin your brand/product reputation.

If you are using social media to scream at customers, please stop. If you are being told by an “Expert” to scream at your customers, please stop. If you are taught to spam others, please stop.

Instead, focus on building a meaningful bond with your customers (I know, the audacity), think about how you can help them rather than making the sale.

Social media is synonymous with relationship media.

Stop yelling. Start sharing.
