How to disable Facebook Places

Here’s a screenshot of how to disable Facebook Places (the new location based service where people can check in to locations using their mobile phones) from allowing others to tag your location without your consent. I would recommend you consider how you want this setting to suit your privacy preferences.

Again, Facebook takes the opt-out approach, making users take unnecessary steps to protect themselves.
